While military war rages in Iraq and elsewhere in the world,
what some refer to as a “culture war” rages within our own
borders.
Perhaps a more fitting
description would be “spiritual warfare.” The forces of
darkness are in constant conflict with the forces of light.
Step by step we see our country, once founded upon
Judeo-Christian principles, retreating and flying the flag
of surrender to the enemy of our souls. God is no longer
tolerated in our schools and government institutions. For a
politician to take a biblical stand on many moral issues is
commit political suicide. One example: In different places
parents are not allowed to keep their children from
attending lectures that promote homosexuality in public
schools.
The shameful thing is that few “Christians” are willing
to take a stand lest they be called intolerant. In such a
war there will be many casualties—the souls of men and
women, and even more tragic—our children and grandchildren.
Christians, “Fight the good fight of faith” (1
Tim. 6:12a), for our warfare is with the evil powers of
this age.
