Rejecting the Light! “This
is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness
rather than light, because their deeds were evil” (John
3:19). There are those that are willfully ignorant of God. These desire
to not be answerable to a power greater than themselves. Job
24:13 speaks of those that “rebel against the light.” While not wanting to
walk in the light of Christ and His word, these also blind their own minds to
the fact that Judgment is coming. These will deny that God once destroyed the
world by a flood, and are “willingly ignorant” also of the coming “day of
judgment and perdition of ungodly men” (2
Peter 3:5-7). Have you renounced the kingdom of darkness and embraced
the King of light, Jesus Christ? Have you accepted Him as God’s Son and your
Savior, repenting of sins and being baptized? (Mark
16:16;
Acts 2:38; 22:16) Are you walking in the light, being constantly cleansed
in the blood of Christ? (1
